So yesterday I was brainstorming what I wanted to blog about this week and I had a few ideas but normally there is one idea that I'm really excited about and that just wasn't the case. So instead of forcing it, I decided to wait it out and see what the day brought. Around noon I finished one of my podcasts and it was the second one that honed in on movement and why it matters so much.

The view from the start of our walk this morning - movement doesn't have to be complicated!

I was going to summarize what these podcasts said here, but I would really rather you go there and listen to them. The links below are for apple podcasts but they can be found on stitcher and Spotify too I believe.

This one surprised me how much I loved it. Author and psychologist Kelly McGonigal just drops truth bombs all throughout the episode and makes movement feel accessible for everyone. Also, I know it says "Mom's Mental Health" but anyone could listen to this podcast and learn a lot. It is geared toward Moms, but you definitely don't need to be a mom, or even a woman, to benefit from this podcast.

Every week I tune in to the Captain's Lifestyle by Taylor Morgan. His no-nonsense approach is refreshing and his candor is rare but amazing. You might not agree with everything he says, but most of the time it's because you just don't like the truth in what he has to say. This episode he breaks down the components of a great exercise program. His program is geared specifically toward entrepreneurs but anyone could take these principles and apply them for a great workout program.

I would encourage you to take the time to give these a listen. I know most of you have crazy commutes so put them to good use and learn why movement is not only good for you, but also pretty vital to living a healthy and present life.
