Gratitude

My post this week will be short and sweet. Just a reminder to embrace your life as it is in this moment. So often we are caught looking outside of ourselves. Wanting more. Longing for things we don't have. More money. The dream job. A bigger house. A better body. Children. Deeper friendships. And don't get me wrong, it is not wrong to aspire for these things, but it should not be at the cost of neglecting what is right in front of you.

Stay present in the moment. Acknowledge what you currently have and be thankful. Especially on this holiday, take a moment of silence, whether it be a prayer, a meditation, or maybe just taking in the quiet, and say thank you for what you currently have.

We all have so much to be grateful for. Even in times of struggle and adversity there is always something that we can hold close to our hearts and be thankful for. Don't let this pass you by. I pray that everyday we can see how blessed we are.

I am going to do a #gratitudechallenge . Everyday, starting today, and ending on Christmas Day, I will post to my instagram story something that I am thankful for. I challenge you to do the same, and if you do, please tag me in it! I would love to see what you are acknowledging in your own life.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! May your day be filled with love, laughter, and joy.

It's not the ocean, but it's still beautiful, and now it's home.
